I’m very excited to announce this release on my record label on mGrooves Music. It is a 5 track compilation with 2 tunes from Ed Ridgley, a remix by Tracey Cooper, 2 tunes by Afropino, and my contribution–Riding Solo.
I have wanted to have this type of release for quite a while!

After a few months bouncing around with live streaming on a few other platforms, back in the fall of 2020 I settled on Twitch.
It was a easy decision. The sound quality is superb and the interface is friendly enough. The bonus was that for the most part the way the copyright compliance is structured plays nicely with DJs (for the most part). It certainly didn’t start off that way with one day a stream would be fine and the next day not so much.
I have been producing previews of the BSB show over there before they are distributed through podcast channels and prior to that I did the Stay House series.
Stay House is back as a pop up series. Check out the latest broadcast below.
Here it is folks–a mix and a count down show all in one! BSB G.O.A.T. 2021 is a ranking of the shows based on your listens, likes, shares through the month of their release.
I then pick a track from the show to highlight in the mix.
Thanks for all the love and support along these journeys into music throughout 2021. Let’s do it again in 2022!

Man, this ride around our star has been craaaaaaaazy. I mean it would have probably been crazy anyway, but with COVID-19 sticking it’s grubby cooties into everything, it’s made things quite extra.
So in my effort to keep being resilient, I am throwing extra right back at the universe–in the way of this specialized mix.
At the end of each BSB show I feature a track that is also in my LiftConfidential playlist on Spotify.
I have brought them all together in this mix show called All Lift 2021. I think you will like the way these are together on their own. If you are on Twitch, there is a video version there as well.
This mix is great for a dinner date, brunch, or similar like event.
It was the first thing I saw this morning. My phone served up pictures of her and I, one by one. Memories. And then the last photo was a collage of the previous pictures all together.
It was a bit much to start the day with for something that’s over.
Fortunately, my go to therapy is music. I did drop a BSB preview show the night before on Twitch. And today going through addition tunes for a likely pop-up Stay House later this week.
Many of you know that I am a geek, nerd, dork, and a huge fan of science fiction. I’m also equally picky as I am passionate about science fiction.
High on my sci-fi list is the series The Expanse which after starting on and being cancelled by SyFy was picked up by Amazon Prime. They have released a trailer for their final and sixth season recently.
And now I’m re-watching the 5 seasons in preparation for this coming season.
I have often watched very closely the music chosen to accompany series. Sometimes you can come across some overlooked gems.
This is often the case in this show. Oh to be sure there are some flops. The track used for the club scene where Nagata and Drummer are ‘hydrating’ after handball comes to mind.
One of my favorites though is in Season 2 Episode 3: Static. Amos is delivering Miller a bag of his personal effects in a bar after being kicked off the Rocinante. And in the background the song Starstruck by Santigold is playing. It is paired well with the energy of the scene, and with Amos’ wisdom to Miller, “You keep picking the wrong fights with the wrong people.”
I have re-added Starstruck to my multi-genre playlist #LiftConfidential on Spotify.
