I am launching a new feature coming this Friday. And it will continue every 3rd Friday of the month.
BSB Flashback will be a two part, two hour feature.
The featured hour, the 2nd hour, will be a mix by Afropino called The Butter Hour. Sometimes this will be a studio mix. Other times it will be a sample from our last Saturdays of the month party called Butter at Ottobar.
The 1st hour might be a studio mix by me that has been previously released (for example re-recorded without the talk over of the regular BSB show), a sample of a live DJ set by me, or a submission of a guest mix.
Just like BSB — Brand Spanking Bought shows, each hour of BSB Flashback can be heard directly through this site, on my accompanying record label website mGrooves Music, on Apple Music podcasts, Spotify podcasts, Google podcasts, Mixcloud, and via other podcast software.

Two Mondays ago, I dropped the BSB show for February. I went digging for one of my favorites for L.O.V. from the French label Pro-Zak Trax.

My latest #BSB show is now available.
I was having a bit of equipment trouble in my home studio, so I reached for Alexander Robotnick‘s Problems D’amour on the LP, The Dark Side of Disco, to begin the show. This is the L.O.V.[e] selection of this BSB podcast.
Funny, my love life, or more accurately stated my lack of love life, could probably be described through that song too. Ha!
I have been definitely barking up the wrong proverbial trees. Maybe I just need to find a different forest, eh?
In addition, I dropped a track from the middle of show entirely. I’ll likely re-introduce it in another show soon. It just didn’t fit as well as I initially thought it would. So I ditched it.
All-in-all, I think you will like the group of music put together for the December show.

Yesterday, I posted my latest BSB show to Mixcloud.
I have to say that this show came together quite easily. Many times it is a lot more work than many people probably imagine.
Soon, I will talk a bit more expansively about my process in future postings, but for now let’s just say it’s not so simple. So I relish in the times when things seem to jell pretty quickly.
It’s a good feeling.

I have been swapping living spaces in recent weeks, expanding into a new studio space.
As with most changes there are upsides and downsides. The downside is that there is less natural light. The upside there is more space to deploy my producing equipment. And for my cat, Milla, to spread her legs a lot more.
Yeah, it’s all for the pets, right?
