It is mind boggling and humbling how much can change in a couple of years.
Two years ago we were all already or about to be plunged into a phenomenon that hasn’t been experienced by our world in at least a century.
For me, I started live streaming again.
No, it wasn’t the first time. When the option became available a few years prior on Facebook and Instagram, I dove right in with a few BSB shows. Now the whole world was doing it–really doing it.
I did go back and try live streaming on those platforms. Unfortunately, they were mired in the same lameness as they were on my prior broadcasts.
I then shifted to streaming on Mixcloud. That was better–much better. They have the proper copyright framework set up for DJs like myself. So the take downs and the media black outs during shows went away. But I made one more change.
I landed on Twitch. Yes, Twitch! Although Mixcloud has since caught up, the in-show sound and video quality were quite a bit better.
